Seasonal Plants

For every season

One of the best things about Colorado living is fully experiencing all four seasons. As a year-round garden center, we’re here to help you make the most of the entire year

Spring Bulbs & Fall Bulbs

Fall-planted, spring blooming bulbs are the best kept secret of Colorado gardening! Many of these bulbs are surprisingly hardy and low maintenance. Crocus, daffodils, tulips, and grape hyacinths are among the most familiar bulbs, but we stock many unique varieties such as allium, Siberian squill, snowdrops, and species tulips.

In spring, find ready-to-plant bulbs and tubers such as dahlias, begonias, caladium, cannas, lilies, freesia, colocasia, and allium. These spring-planted, summer flowering beauties do not typically survive Colorado winters without special effort, but you will love the exotic flair they bring to your garden.

Poinsettias & Holiday Bulbs

In November and December, Tagawa Gardens is transformed by hundreds of premium poinsettias, grown locally here in Colorado. Traditional reds are joined by spectacular varieties in gold, cream, pink, salmon, chartreuse, and variegated. With complimentary foil and bow, you will be delighted by a finished gift.

Amaryllis, paperwhite narcissus bulbs, and festive tabletop planters are among the beautifully giftable holiday pieces that also await you.

Autumn Pumpkins

As summer heat gives way to autumn harvest, we stock a massive selection of ornamental pumpkins, traditional jack-o-lanterns, and funky gourds. Paired with cornstalks, straw bales, Indian corn, colorful mums, and fun family photo ops, you’ll find everything you need to ease into the comforts of fall.

Wreaths & Fresh Evergreen

At Tagawa Gardens, you’ll find all the makings of holiday memories. By mid-November, we stock premium evergreen wreaths, mixed garland, fresh boughs, and pinecones. These holiday accents can beautifully transform your home from autumn to winter.

Our Annuals Team also arranges custom evergreen porch pots with freshly cut Frasier fir. These special pieces bring the ambiance of the holidays to your front door. With the right care, these winter pieces can last several weeks, well into the new year!
