Homeschool Botany Class: Winter Traditions Around the World

โœจย Holiday Roots: Winter Traditions Around the World

What makes something a โ€œholidayโ€? In this festive homeschool lesson, students will explore theย plants, customs, and cultural traditionsย that shape winter celebrations around the world. Weโ€™ll learn how different cultures use evergreens, spices, flowers, and other botanicals during the seasonโ€”and what these traditions mean.

Students will thenย create their own holiday, complete with symbols and stories, and make aย handmade giftย to give away. Families will also receive multidisciplinary extensions to continue the learning at home.
