March is here, which means it’s time to start those seeds to enjoy a bountiful summer. Join Luan Akin and Linda Larsen as they demystify and simplify the process of starting your plants from seeds. It’s an economical, practical, and fun activity for the whole family!
Linda Larsen has been one of our esteemed Master Gardeners at Tagawa Gardens since 2014. She is a Native Plant Master, Pollinator expert, and beekeeper, and she runs our Bird World at the Garden Center. She has spent more than 30 years at her home in Douglas County, finding success in her garden despite the struggles of our unpredictable front-range climate and hungry deer.
Luan Akin. A fixture on Denver television for thirty years, Luan logged thousands of hours in her airborne office, the helicopter for CBS4 News. During that time, she also trained as a Master Gardener. Luan left Copter4 and an award-winning career in TV news to put her passion for gardening to work as Tagawa’s Garden Ambassador. As a native Coloradan with a down-to-earth approach and an unfailing sense of humor, she understands the challenges of gardening in our climate and strives to help others succeed.
